The loss marked the sixth in a row for the Lions (10-20, 0-4), who with four games left in the regular season trail Glen Rose (15-13, 4-0), Graham (15-14, 2-2), Stephenville (15-14, 2-2) and Mineral Wells (7-24, 2-2) in the 6-4A standings.
The Lions trailed 25-17 after one quarter, 47-28 at halftime, and 56-39 through three periods.
Casey Friebel led Brownwood with 15 points followed by Carson Noe wit 11, Ross Strasner with eight, Austin Pittman with five, Hayden Noe, Aaron Edmonds and Weston Wolf with four apiece, and Noah Pyle with two points.
Mineral Wells – which had not scored more than 62 points in a game prior to Friday night – received 19 points from Charlie Ramsay and 13 from Jordan Fisher
Brownwood begins the second half of district action at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday when it welcomes Graham.
