BALLINGER – The Early Longhorns and Lady Horns both placed third in the final team standings at Thursday’s Ballinger Invitational powerlifting meet.
Alexa Hernandez was named the Best Light Weight Lifter at the meet as she finished first in the 123-pound weight class with 850 pounds lifted.
Rayana Barzart also won the 242s with 890 pounds lifted.
Coming in second were Julienne Socong in the 114s with 750 pounds, and Henslee Middleton in the 105s with 545 pounds.
Placing third was Matty Boswell in the 114s with 725 pounds, while Marlee Martinez was fourth in the 181s with 815 pounds lifted.
On the boys side, Griffin Cheslock led the charge as he came in first in the 181s with 1,325 pounds.
Finishing second were Brooks Clippinger in the 220s with 1,505 pounds, Dalton Adams in the 242s with 1,320 pounds, and Jacob Braun in the 275s with 1,445 pounds.
Third-place performances belonged to Izik Delgado in the 198s with 1,285 pounds, Rico Vasquez in the 242s with 1,235 pounds, and Keegan Sherrill in the 275s with 1,445 pounds lifted.
