SAN ANGELO – The Brownwood Lady Lions will carry a five-match unbeaten streak into Friday’s District 5-4A soccer after playing San Angelo Lake View to a scoreless tie Tuesday night.
The Lady Lions (8-2-1) had reeled off four consecutive victories prior to Tuesday night, as next they will host Lampasas at 5 p.m. Friday in the 5-A opener.
“I’m very excited about the way they are playing right now,” head coach Alexis Walker said of the Lady Lions. “I like to schedule Lake View right before we begin district because they always test us. I believe we are in a great position to have good success in our district. We are almost back to full health and I’m excited about the energy that our girls step out onto the field with each game. They are exciting to watch and this district season will be a good test for us as well. The girls are excited, I’m excited, and I have a great feeling about this year.”
