ZEPHYR – The Zephyr Lady Bulldogs and Bulldogs both remained undefeated in District 18-A basketball action with a pair of home victories over Sidney Tuesday night.
First, the Lady Bulldogs moved to 7-0 against league competition with a 61-11 triumph over the Lady Eagles.
Zephyr led 20-2 after one quarter, 39-4 at halftime, and 54-7 heading to the fourth quarter.
The Lady Bulldogs received 22 points from Aliyah Harlan, nine each from Avery Williams and Nae’J Payne, seven from Haley Eason, six from Cali McRee, four from McKenna Cash, and two each from Riley Hood and Ronni McClain.
In the second half of the doubleheader, the Bulldogs improved to 5-0 in district and 18-6 overall with a 68-40 triumph over the Eagles.
The Bulldogs were in front 19-15 after one period, 38-23 at the break, and 54-29 heading into the final quarter.
Reese Hamm and Ethan Byers poured in a team-best 14 points apiece followed by 11 from Wyatt Stevens, eight from Karsen Floyd, seven from CJ Byers, six from Cooper Walls and four points each from Rhett Williams and Hunter Davidson.
Both Zephyr teams are slated to visit Mullin at 6 p.m. Friday.
