BURNET – The Early Longhorns placed third as a team and the Early Lady Horns came in fourth in the final team standings at the Burnet powerlifting meet this past Thursday.

Finishing first in their weight classes for the Longhorns were Griffin Cheslock in the 181s with 1,270 pounds lifted; Brooks Clippinger in the 220s with 1,480 pounds lifted; and Keegan Sherrill in the 275s with 1,420 pounds lifted.

Also competing were Dalton Adams, who was second in the 242s with 1,275 pounds lifted; Jacob Braum, who was second in the 275s with 1,380 pounds; and Rico Vasquez, who came in third in the 242s with 1,185 pounds lifted.

Leading the way for the Lady Horns were first-place finishers Henslee Middleton in the 105s with 505 pounds lifted; Julianne Socong in the 114s with 735 pounds lifted; and Rayana Barzart in the 242s with 835 pounds lifted.

Other competitors were Mattyson Boswell, who was second in the 114s with 690 pounds lifted; Jaycee Lawson, who was fourth in the 123s with 440 pounds lifted; and Marlee Martinez in the 181s, who was fifth with 540 pounds lifted.
