ALVARADO – The Brownwood Lady Lions dropped their first match of the season in their second contest at the Alvarado tournament Friday morning, falling to Wichita Falls, 2-1.
The Lady Lions (2-1) managed just a Braycee Lee goal off an assist from Jacklyn Lewis against Wichita Falls, which in ranked second in Class 4A Division I Region I behind only Stephenville.
“The girls faced a great team this morning,” said Lady Lions head coach Alexis Walker. “We are thankful for some good competition in this Alvarado tournament as we prepare for our tough district.”
The Lady Lions conclude tournament play at 10:30 a.m. Saturday against Terrell.
