PEASTER – The Early Lady Horns improved to 2-2 in District 8-3A girls basketball action with a 44-25 road victory over Peaster Tuesday.
The Lady Horns led 13-2 after one quarter, 24-6 at halftime, and 33-13 heading into the fourth period.
Jenna Hataway scored a team-high 14 points followed by Gabby Benson with 13, Jamie Vassar with six, Dakota Barksdale and Cassidy Frerichs with four each, and Pearl Sharp with three points.
The Lady Horns host Millsap at 6:15 p.m. Friday.

Zephyr Bulldogs 68, Evant 6
ZEPHYR – The Zephyr Bulldogs moved to 15-6 overall and 2-0 in District 18- A action with a 68-6 home victory over Evant.
Zephyr led 5-2 after one quarter, 22-4 at halftime and 46-4 going into the final period.
Cooper Walls finished with 21 points on seven three-pointers followed by Wyatt Stevens and Karsen Floyd with 11 points each, CJ Byers and Reese Hamm with seven apiece, Rhett Williams with six, Ethan Byers with three, and Hunter Davidson with two points.
The Bulldogs visit Gustine at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Zephyr Lady Bulldogs 60, Evant 26
ZEPHYR – The Zephyr Lady Bulldogs secured a 60-26 District 18-A home victory over Evant Tuesday night.
Zephyr led 18-5 after one quarter, 31-11 at halftime, and 45-11 heading into the fourth period.
Avery Dozier and Haley Eason sparked the effort with 13 points each followed by Cali McRee with 11, Avery Williams with nine, Aliyah Harlan with seven, Kirstan King with three, and Nae’J Payne and Ronni McClain with two points apiece.
The Lady Bulldogs visit Gustine at 6 p.m. Friday.

May Lady Tigers 27, Abilene Christian 20
MAY – The May Lady Tigers improved to 15-6 on the season with a 27-20 non-district home victory over Abilene Christian Tuesday.
The Lady Tigers led 13-0 after one quarter, 21-2 at halftime and 23-10 through three periods.
Jordyn Gerhardt scored a team-high eight points followed by Kenlyn King with six, Chloe Lord with five, Kenleigh Williford and Mia Musick with three apiece and McKenna Landes with two points.
The Lady Tigers visit Rising Star at 6 p.m. Friday

Peaster 63, Early Longhorns 34
PEASTER – The Early Longhorns are off to an 0-2 start against District 8-3A foes following Tuesday night’s 63-34 setback at Peaster.
Early trailed 22-8 after one quarter, 41-15 at halftime, and 49-24 heading into the final stanza.
Kamden Gamblin finished with 13 points followed by seven from Rohyn Price, four from Dalton Adams, three each from Alex Perez and Caygen Schroeder, two from Will Prochaska, and one point each from Jacob McDaniel and Weston Barton.
The Longhorns host Millsap at 7:45 p.m. Friday.

Abilene Christian 77, May Tigers 53
MAY – The May Tigers stumbled to 11-6 on the season with a 77-53 non-district home loss to Abilene Christian Tuesday.
The Tigers trailed 21-15 after the initial stanza, 42-26 at the break, and 59-40 through three quarters.
Zack Martin finished with 12 points for May trailed by Jackson Lusk and Brody Stice with 10 apiece, Ben Harrell with nine, Mikey Scheriger with seven and Kaden Watkins with five points.
The Tigers next visit Strawn on Friday.
