December sales tax allocations were released this week by the Texas Comptroller’s Office. The City of Bangs had a large increase over December 2022, in terms of per cent, Brownwood had a small increase, and Early had a decrease. December sales tax allocations represent taxable retail sales in October 2023. Details below.
CITY OF BROWNWOOD
The City of Brownwood received $563,095, an increase of 1.01% over December 2022. Fiscal year-to-date (October – December 2023) Brownwood has received $1,765,461, up 1.02% over fiscal year-to-date last year.
The Brownwood Municipal Development District received $187,997, an increase of 1.02% over December 2022. Fiscal year-to-date the BMDD has received $574,063, up 1.02%.
CITY OF EARLY
The City of Early received $221,635, a decrease of 18.78% vs. December 2022. Fiscal year-to-date Early has received $637,442, down 11.74%
The Early Municipal Development District received $72,939, down 19.02% vs. December 2022. Fiscal year-to-date the EMDD has received $208,127, down 11.61%
CITY OF BANGS
The City of Bangs received $22,975, an increase of 35.82% over December 2022. Fiscal year-to-date Bangs has received $65,475, up 4.08%
The Bangs Municipal Development District received $3,351, up 21.85% over December 2022. Fiscal year-to-date the Bangs MDD has received $9,305, down 4.64%
