Brown County Sheriff’s Report: Dec. 13

  • On Monday, December 11, at approximately 9:14 a.m. Sgt. Andre Smoot responded to a burglary, not in progress, at the Lake Life Amusement game room located at 8620 Highway 279. An investigation was completed, and a report was made and sent for further investigation.
  • On Monday, December 11, at 2:02 p.m. Deputy Ricky Herring was dispatched to FM 1176, in reference to a deceased person. Upon arrival, information was gathered, and a report was made.
  • On Monday, December 11, at approximately 5:01 p.m., Deputy Thomas Beloat with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a call from Deputy Toby Mathis, on the whereabouts of a person who had active warrants for his arrest. The person was found and placed into custody. That person will have additional charges placed against him. Pertinent information was gathered, and a report was completed.
  • On Monday, December 11, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to an animal complaint over the phone. Deputy Geis spoke with a complainant, who claimed that his neighbor had a dog that had attacked his wife, and killed chickens. Information was gathered, and the neighbor was issued paperwork for Dangerous Dog and Dog Prohibited from Running at Large, and a report was made.
