BURNET – Another cold shooting night plagued the Brownwood Lady Lions, who slipped to 10-6 on the season with a 42-27 loss at Burnet Monday night.
The Lady Lions converted just 26 percent (10 of 39) of their shots, 18 percent (3 of 16) of their three-pointers, and 40 percent (4 of 10) of their free throws. Brownwood did pull down 24 rebounds and record 16 steals, but turned over the ball 23 times.
Brownwood led 9-7 after one quarter, trailed 21-14 at halftime, and faced a 32-19 deficit heading into the fourth period.
Kimber Green finished with 10 pints for Brownwood trailed by five from Trinity Roberts, four from Hannah Deen, three each from Adyson Neel and Miranda Northcutt and two points from Nylah Hall.
The Lady Lions return home to Warren Gym at 6:15 p.m. Friday to take on Springtown.
