DUBLIN – The Brownwood Lions improved to 2-6 on the season with a 65-52 victory over the Goldthwaite Eagles Friday during the second day of the Dublin tournament.
Brownwood led 21-11 after one quarter, 41-28 at halftime, and 54-34 after three quarters.
Joel Hoguin scored a team-high 17 points for the Lions trailed by 16 from Durham Brown, eight from Noah Pyle, six from Austin Pittman, and two points from Hayden Proffitt.
Luke Sanderson scored 21 points to pace Goldthwaite.
The Lions will wrap up tournament play with a Saturday seeding game against a yet to be determined foe as of 2:15 p.m. Friday.
