DUBLIN – The Brownwood Lady Lions chalked up their third consecutive victory at the Dublin tournament Friday, knocking off Cross Plains by a 55-28 count.
The Lady Lions (9-3) led 18-7 after one quarter, 30-12 at halftime, and 39-21 heading to the fourth period.
Brownwood shot 35 percent (20 of 57) from the floor, 28 percent (7 of 25) from the three-point arc, and 53 percent (8 of 15) at the free throw line. The Lady Lions also pulled down 37 rebounds, recorded 17 steals and turned over the ball 19 times.
Kimber Green scored a team-best 16 points for the Lady Lions trailed by Miranda Northcutt with 11, Adyson Neel with eight, Icess Hall with seven, Hannah Deen and Trinity Roberts with six apiece, and Kate Tindol with one point.
The Lady Lions will conclude tournament action Saturday in a seeding game against a yet to be determined foe as of 4:45 p.m. Friday.
