The Brownwood Lions slipped to 0-3 on the season with 73-68 loss to the Brady Bulldogs in non-district action Monday afternoon at Warren Gym.
Still playing short-handed with the football team advancing to the third round of the playoffs, Brownwood trailed 20-16 after one quarter, 36-31 at halftime, and drew even at 53 heading into the fourth period, where Brady owned a 5-point scoring advantage.
Casey Friebel scored a team-high 20 points for Brownwood trailed by 14 from Noah Pyle, 10 from Gage Sparks, 9 from Austin Pitttman, 5 each from Hayden Proffitt and Joel Hoguin, and 2 points apiece from Easton Judkins and Durham Brown.
Brady was led by 23 points from Joseph Calderon.
