Coggin 6th Grade Flag Football Super Bowl to be held at Gordon Wood Stadium Nov. 16

Coggin Elementary flag football teams “The Compadres” and “Texas Longhorns” are scheduled to face off in the 2023 6th Grade Super Bowl event at Gordon Wood Stadium on Thursday, November 16, at 9:00 a.m.

In addition to the flag football showdown, the event will include a performance of the National Anthem by the Coggin Elementary Choir and a halftime show featuring the BHS Band.

All Coggin 5th and 6th grade students will be bussed to the stadium to enjoy the game and cheer on the players.

Order of events:

  • Fight Song (Players run through signs prepared by 6th grade Art and Mrs. Holcomb)

  • National Anthem by Coggin Elementary Choir, directed by Mrs. Yeats

  • Coin Toss

  • Kick Off

  • Halftime show by Brownwood High School Band, directed by Mr. and Mrs. Lambert

  • 6th Grade Cheerleaders directed by Ashley Pinkston

  • Start of 2nd half

  • Game ends (Team pictures will be taken, and buses will be loaded to return students to Coggin)

Texas Longhorns (Maroon): Brooks Booth, Kinsler Doremus, Bennett Williams, Jack Bauchman, Greyer Jeys, Izaiah Castaneda, Luis Murillo, Duncan Dennison, Parker Dennison, Jeremiah Leonard

The Compadres (White): Leeland Hamilton, Eli Risch, Diego Villanueva, Caleb Galindo, Jovi Martinez, Josh Hopkins, Sam May, Hudson Garcia, Emma Soto, Romeo Garcia, Braxton Fagundes, Jearon Hernandez, Miguel Sanchez
