The following fishing reports are provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the week of November 8:
LAKE BROWNWOOD
GOOD. Water stained; 67-71 degrees; 8.34 feet below pool. Black bass to 4.20 pounds are fair on jigs, and crankbaits in 1-12 feet of water. Bait is moving into the cove pockets and the bass will soon follow for the feeding frenzy. Crappie are slow on brush piles and around the docks on minnows in 10-12 feet of water. White bass are slow to 1.06 pound on crankbaits and small jigs. Catfish are slow using prepared and cut bait.
LAKE CISCO
FAIR. Water slightly stained; 60 degrees; 11.29 feet below pool. Crappie are good on minnows in 7 feet of water. Catfishand bass are hitting perch and minnows. Report by Lake Cisco Rentals.
LAKE COLEMAN
SLOW. Water stained; 63-66 degrees; 8.74 feet below pool. Bass are fair to three pounds on F6 Hags golden cherry soft plastics and jigs tipped with a green pumpkin Hags Undertaker Jr. There is a good bite on topwaters, spinnerbaits, and chatterbaits early, then later in the day on plastics off points. Reports of quality fish in the channel headed towards the creek. Crappie are fair to 1.00 pound suspended 10-12 feet around trees and docks on minnows. White and hybrids are slow on fast moving baits and slabs.
LAKE O.H. IVIE
FAIR. Water stained; 60 degrees; 29.51 feet below pool. White bass are fair live baits and plastic baits. Crappie are good live bait or jigs. Largemouth are good. Cooler water temperature have the largemouth bass on the move. As the lake level drops, be cautious of the trees. Report by Concho Park and Marina.
LAKE PROCTOR
FAIR. Water stained; 60 degrees; 12.61 feet below pool. As the cold front roll through expect the rattletrap and crankbait bite to pick up for bass along deeper edges. Catfish can be caught on stinkbait. Hybrid and sand bass are schooling biting slabs. Crappie are hitting minnows around rock structures.
