Brown County Sheriff Vance Hill issued the following statement Tuesday regarding:

Sheriff Vance Hill proudly announces he will seek re-election as Brown County Sheriff.

Sheriff Hill, a Republican, who is currently on his second term, was elected to office in November 2016 and is proud to announce that he will seek Re-election as Brown County Sheriff in the 2024 election.

Sheriff Hill has demonstrated the ability to work with other agencies and community leaders throughout Brown County and the State of Texas. Some of the accomplishments gained by doing so are:

  • Multi Agency SWAT – Brownwood and Early PD
  • Mental Health Jail Diversion Program – Center for Life Resources
  • Mental Health Deputies- Center for Life Resources
  • Joint firearms range with Brown County Water Improvement District
  • County School Resource Deputy- Blanket, Brookesmith, May, and Zephyr ISDs
  • County wide radio infrastructure upgrade
  • Special Investigations (I.E.) Online Solicitation Catch a predator DPS, Abilene PD, Local Law Enforcement

Departmental accomplishment while Sheriff:

  • Upgrade vehicles and equipment

  • Re-implementation of Environmental Deputy

  • Increased Rural Patrol

  • Continually maintained Jail Standards

These accomplishments could not be possible without continued community support, dedication and hard work of employees, support of the commissioner’s court, and collaboration with all other agencies.

With honor, I respectfully ask for your continued support in the upcoming election.

Sincerely,

Sheriff Vance Hill
