SAN ANGELO – The Bangs Lady Dragons came up short in the Region I-2A volleyball bi-district playoff match Tuesday night at Angelo State University’s Junnell Center, falling in straight sets to Sonora, 25-13, 25-17, 25-11.
The District 6-2A third seed Lady Dragons finished the season with a 15-14 overall record following their loss to District 5-2A co-champion Sonora.
Jadyn Miller led Bangs with six kills followed by Ava Boren with three, two apiece from Neeley Bradley, Raylee Hutchins, Kasey Solis and Emily Baker, and one from Julianna Ethridge.
Bradley added nine assists, Joey Newton finished with two and Boren added one.
Hutchins served three aces, Bradley contributed two and Ethridge tallied one.
Defensively, Miller notched 17 digs followed by Ethridge with 13, Hutchins with nine, Bradley and Cloey Petty with three apiece, and Newton, Solis and Baker with two each.
The Lady Dragons did not record a block.
