Eva Rae (Ingram) Allen, age 70 of Grand Prairie, Texas entered into heaven October 26, 2023. She was born January 18, 1953 in Brownwood, Texas to Leslie and Eva Nell (Benson) Ingram. She grew up in the Missionary Baptist Church loving the Lord with all of her heart. Her family made their way to Irving, Texas where she attended elementary, middle and high school. Eva Rae moved back to Brownwood in the early 1970’s, where she began her family, and later moved to Juneau, Alaska for a short time. While in Juneau, she met her lifelong best friend, Lynn Pace, whom she referred to as her sister. She returned to Brownwood in the mid 1970’s, where she remained until the early 1990’s, eventually moving back to the Irving/Grand Prairie area. Eva Rae had a passion for taking care of people, early in life she worked as a nursing assistant, but ultimately loved working with children more. She was known for caring for children in her own home, while providing a safe and loving environment. Eva Rae was very outgoing, and had a passion for cooking, but her favorite hobby was being a grandmother, attending her grandchildren‘s soccer games and other activities. She was known affectionately to most as “Momo”, but also went by Rae, Aunt Rae, and Re-Rae. She enjoyed playing cards and dice games, raising various types of fish in her home aquarium, and could often be found listening to her favorite songs by Elvis Presley. Eva Rae will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents Leslie and Eva Nell Ingram and sister Sharlette Hannah.
She is survived by her daughter Shawna and husband Billy Pierce of Grand Prairie, Texas; grandchildren: Joshua and wife Haley Pierce of Palestine, Texas, Lakyn Pierce of Round Rock, Texas, and Cash and husband Ashton Williams of Plano, Texas; six great-grandchildren; and siblings: Eric Ingram of Blooming Grove, Texas, Karen Brister of Quinlan, Texas, Kaye and husband Dale LeGrand of Irving, Texas, and her best friend Lynn Pace of Brownwood, Texas. “Momo” had many nieces, nephews and God-children that she loved as well.
Memorial Service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Green Funeral Home Red Oak, Texas.
