The Brookesmith Independent School District FFA team provided an informational presentation to the board of trustees on Wednesday, October 25. The students developed this presentation for the Ag issues forum for FFA. They presented this program previously at the Farm Bureau and at the Tarleton Invitational. They will compete in the district FFA competition in Eastland on November 6.
Beginning in June 2023, medically important antibiotics used in livestock production were no longer available through local feed stores; instead, they are now only available through veterinarians.
The goal of this project is to promote awareness of the many ways this change in the availability of livestock antibiotics will affect Americans.
The team is composed of, left to right: sophomore Harley Gilliam; junior, Mia Lara; sophomores Ava Hathcock and Mercedes Rodriguez; and, freshman Tierney Burns.
