ANDREWS – The Brownwood JV Lions put the finishing touches on an undefeated season with a 41-6 road victory over the Andrews Mustangs Thursday night.
Quarterback Robbie Robinson threw a touchdown pass to Grant Gray, and running backs Caven Webster and Kaleb Grabast led the way scoring a combined five touchdowns on the ground.
The JV Lions outscored their opponents 200-14 over district play, and 388-67 for the season.
The JV Lions posted a 10-0 overall record and 4-0 District 2-4A Division I mark.

Freshman Lions 35, Andrews 12
ANDREWS – The Brownwood Freshman Lions completed District 2-4A Division I action with a 4-0 record following Thursday’s 35-12 victory over Andrews.
The Lions took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter on a 6-yard touchdown pass from Rory McNeese to Connor Cornelius. In the second period, McNeese and Cornelius connected on a 39-yard scoring toss and Cornelius later added an 11-yard touchdown run for a 21-0 halftime edge.
Andrews shaved the deficit to 21-6 in the third quarter but the Lions added two more fourth-quarter touchdowns on an 11-yard run by JJ Lopez, and a 26-yard run by Nick Rodriguez. McNeese converted all five extra-point kicks.
Defensive standouts includes Isaac Gonzales with five tackles and two for loss; Levi moss with six tackles and a fumble recovery; Kasyn Wooten with three tackles and an interception; Finn Hill with one tackle, an interception, and a fumble recovery; and Wyatt Wolf, Christian Talamantez, Nick Rodriguez and Waylon Harrington with two tackles apiece.
The Freshman Lions posted a 6-4 overall record and 4-0 league mark.

Llano 46, Combined Team 6
The Brownwood Subvarsity Combined Team completed their season Thursday at Gordon Wood Stadium with a 46-6 loss to Llano.
Quarterback Hayden Christiansen scored the touchdown for the Lions on the ground in the fourth quarter, and Noah Grummert also ran the ball well.
Kayden Avalos and Aviud Gomez played well on the defensive line, as Avalos had a tackle for loss.
The Combined Team posted a 3-7 season record.
