October is National Principals Month, and Brownwood ISD (BISD) is proud to recognize each of our principals for their hard work and continued dedication to the success of students in BISD schools.
Lindsay Smith has served as the BHS principal since 2020. Smith received both a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Arts degree in English from the University of Texas Permian Basin. She is a state-certified teacher, principal, and holds a Superintendent’s license. With over eighteen years in education and nine at Brownwood, Smith continues to utilize her knowledge to create an educational environment where students are supported and encouraged to reach their full potential. Under her leadership, BHS continues to provide an expanding number of certifications and dual credit opportunities to ensure students are equipped to be successful in whatever path they choose after high school. Smith is married to 35th District Court Judge Mike Smith, and together they are raising their kids, Lucy and Hank, as a proud part of the Brownwood Lion family.
BISD is grateful for Lindsay Smith’s commitment to providing quality education for all BHS students and congratulates her on being recognized during National Principals Month!
