The office of District Attorney Micheal Murray issued the following press release Wednesday regarding felony cases heard in 35th District Court by Judge Mike Smith.
- Monty Lee Lewis pled guilty to the felony offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 20 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
- Penny Elizabeth Sims pled guilty to the felony offense of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon Against a Public Servant and was sentenced to 20 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Sims pled guilty ti the felony offense of Evading Arrest with a Vehicle and was sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
- Royce Harold Christopher pled guilty to the felony offense of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and was sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
- Luis Ortiz pled guilty to the felony offense of Aggravated Robbery and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and was sentenced to 6 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
- Sammy James Peel, on probation for the felony offense of Assault Family Violence-Enhanced, was revoked and sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
- Alexander Harris pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
