The local Heartland Association of Realtors has received a grant from the National Association of Realtors and the Counselors of Real Estate. The Transforming Neighborhoods grant is designed to “provide actionable recommendations to solve today’s top-of-mind real estate issues in partnership with local Realtor associations and key public and private stakeholders,” according to the press release.
The Heartland Association of Realtors will work with the City of Bangs to “build Bangs into a healthy community by supporting economic growth, showcasing the city’s assets, creating vibrant public spaces, and providing affordable housing for workers.” Along with the Counselors of Real Estate organization, Heartland Realtors will analyze information and provide strategic actionable recommendations to solve housing affordability issues and create a business development plan designed to meet the current and ongoing needs of the community.
The Heartland Association of Realtors has more than 190 members. Participants in this project will include Heidi Andrade, 2023 President, Sheri Wells, 2024 President Elect, Jackie Randle, Governmental Affairs Director, plus members Holly McMillian, Felicia Davis, Elisa Roland, Sherrie James, and Wyatt Hinton. Also invited to provide input are community stakeholders who live and own businesses in Bangs.
