Arthur Rudene “Rudy” Hudson, 77 of Brownwood, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, September 20, 2023.

Celebration of Life for Rudy will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Blaylock Funeral Home. Burial will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Rudy was born on August 19, 1946, to Arthur Nolan Hudson and Tylene (Lambert) Hudson in Brownwood. He graduated from Brownwood High School in 1965 and went on to join the Army as a medic. In 1966, Rudy began his job at 3M where he worked for 54 years and made hundreds of lifelong friends. Outside of work, Rudy enjoyed playing golf with his friends and cooking meals for his family. Rudy loved spending time with all his grandchildren and was especially grateful for his grandson, Baylor, who took care of him during the last year of his life.

He is survived by his daughters, Holly Rudene McKee and Courtney Kay Hudson, both of Brownwood; a sister, Glenda Jenkins of Brownwood; seven grandchildren, Kaili Reeves and husband Kevin, Marli McKee, Boston Hudson, Baylor Daniell, Mylee McKee, Kynlee Daniell, and Maddi McKee; two great grandchildren, Jordan and Jaxon; as well as several nieces and nephews. Rudy will be deeply missed by many.

Rudy was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Tylene Hudson; two brothers, Rodney Wayne Hudson and Jerry Lee Hudson; and his niece, Lisa Hudson Maldonado.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.

Condolences for the family can be made online at www.blaylockfuneralhome.com.
