LIPAN – The Brownwood Lady Lions placed third as a team and the Brownwood Lions came in fourth in the final team standings at the Lipan Invitational Wednesday morning.
The Lady Lions generated 116 points which left them behind Hamilton (27) and Brock (93). The Lions produced 140 points which trailed only Ponder (51), Hamilton (81) and Breckenridge (93).
For the Lady Lions, Braycee Lee led the charge in sixth place with a time of 12:23.86, trailed by Sidney Windham in eighth place in a time of 12:25.73. Also competing for Brownwood was Emma Stegemoller (24th, 12:58.69), Haylee Adkins (43rd, 13:21.53), Kylea Karnes (48th, 13:27.87), Talia Craff (49th, 13:28.57), Alma Bernal (71st, 14:04.66), and Kate Tindol (84th, 14:29.56).
Competing for the Lions were Bennett Windham, who came in 10th in a time of 17:25.44, along with Aidan Pena (28th, 18:20.7), Caden Carnes (29th, 18:23.14), Noah Lambert (35th, 18:38.96), Stephen Rodriguez (48th, 19:09.05), Mark Martinez (64th, 19:28.85), and Ty Tindol (88th, 20:53.57).
The Lady Lions are scheduled to compete in the Lubbock Invitational Saturday, while both teams will be in action at the Dublin FCA meet on Sept. 20.
