Alvin Miller

Alvin Miller, age 84, of Bangs passed away peacefully on Monday, September 4, 2023 at his home in Bangs. A visitation for Alvin will be held from 5 – 7PM on Friday, September 8, at Heartland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10AM on Saturday, September 9 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel.

Alvin was born in Brown County to Albert and Lois Miller on December 21, 1938. He graduated from Brookesmith High School in 1957. He married the love of his life, Patricia Coker on August 22, 1963. Alvin enjoyed farming and ranching his entire life. He also worked for Texans Inc. for 33 years, and Bob’s LP Gas for 18 years. Alvin was a peaceful and dedicated man who enjoyed helping others.

Alvin is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia; son, Edward Miller and wife, Clara of Albany, TX; son, Gayland Miller and wife, Jaquelyn of Brownwood, TX; daughter, Sheri Baty and husband, Louis of Knox City, TX; grandson, Owen Millerand wife, Cassandra of Breckenridge, TX; grandson, Jett Miller and wife, Cassi of Buda, TX; grandson, Garrett Miller of Brownwood, TX; grandson, Gavin Miller and wife, Kaily of Brownwood, TX; grandson, Dr. Sheldon Baty of Amarillo TX; grandson, Chance Baty of Knox City, TX; brother, Dr. Frederick Miller and wife, Jackie of Tahoka, TX; sister, Oleta Rudloff of Stephenville, TX; 4 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Alvin was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Lois; and grandsons, Kyndal Baty and Lyndon Baty.
