On Monday, Sept. 4, at 5:53 a.m., BPD Officer J. Bocknite and Deputy Ricky Herring were dispatched to Magnolia. This was in reference to an assault, which occurred in the county located at C.R. 319. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, and it was determined that the victim was kidnapped at gun point at a location inside Brownwood city limits and taken to the above county location and assaulted by strangulation. The victim was driven back to her place of residence by the suspect. An Assault Family Violence, Felony 3rd Degree, report was taken by the deputy and an Aggravated Kidnapping. A Felony-1st Degree report was taken by the BPD Officer Bocknite.

On Thursday, Aug. 31, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to Kirkland Dr., Brownwood TX, 76801, in regard to an assault. Deputy Geis spoke to two individuals, who got into a physical altercation due to headlights. Information was gathered and a report was made.
On Friday, Sept. 1 at about 12:04 a.m., Deputy Chris Williamson along with Deputy Francisco Valencia were dispatched to a disorderly conduct located at Choctaw Dr. in May. Two individuals were in a verbal argument on one’s property. One then threw rocks at another truck, which led to a threat and an attempt to hit the other. Information was collected and a report made.
On Friday, Sept. 1, at approximately 1:40 p.m. Deputy Francisco Valencia was dispatched to the block of CR 569, Brownwood, regarding a scam. The complainant stated a woman he met on Facebook Messenger asked him to purchase gift cards for online games. The complainant purchased the gift cards and sent them to the woman, and she is not paying him back. Information was gathered and a report was made.
On Friday, Sept. 1 at about 4:22 p.m., Deputy Chris Williamson was dispatched to a trespassing call located at CR 606, Brownwood TX. The property owner stated someone went onto her property and took a generator and a truck battery. The property owner stated the individual(s) also damaged the residence, by pulling a portion of the exterior metal wall off the residence. Information was collected and a report made.
On Saturday, Sept. 2 at approximately 9:07 a.m. Deputy Francisco Valencia was dispatched to the intersection of CR 234/235 regarding theft. However, this incident was handled via phone call. The complainant stated a road barricade was stolen from the roadway sometime during the night. This same incident happened earlier this week and was reported as well. Information was gathered and a report was made.
On Saturday, Sept. 2 at about 3:38 p.m., Deputy Chris Williamson was dispatched to a community relations call which could be handled by a phone call. The victim stated someone placed a tracker on his vehicle. Information was collected and a report was made.
On Sunday, Sept. 3, Sgt. Chis Angel was dispatched to Buckhorn Road, in reference to an animal complaint. Sgt. Angel met with a complainant who stated that his neighbor’s black dog killed a chicken. Sgt. Angel located the dog at the neighbor’s residence and the neighbor was issued a Dog Prohibited From Running At Large form.
On Sunday, Sept. 3, at about 12:28 p.m., Deputy Chris Williamson was dispatched to a found property call located at the County Road 140, Bangs. Items were retrieved and information was collected, and a report made.
On Monday, Sept. 4, Deputy Saydie Bradley, responded to a report of an illegal dumping at the intersection of Highway 377 E and FM 1467 in Blanket. Information was gathered and a report was made.
