BANGS – The Bangs Lady Dragons suffered an excruciating five-set home loss to Abilene Christian Saturday, as the visitors took the final three sets to steal the victory.
Bangs won the first two sets 26-24 and 25-20 only to witness Abilene Christian tally victories of 25-19, 25-11,15-11 to complete the improbable comeback.
Standouts for the Lady Dragons included Joey Newton with 1 assist; Neeley Bradley with 2 aces, 10 kills, 14 assists, 7 digs, 1 solo block and 1 block assist; Raylee Hutchins with 1 kill and 3 digs; Kasey Solis with 4 kills, 3 digs and 1 solo block; Julianna Ethridge with 2 aces and 19 digs; Emily Baker with 1 kill and 1 dig; Cloey Petty with 2 aces and 12 digs; Claire Auldridge with 1 kill; Ava Boren with 1 ace and 8 assists; and Jadyn Miller with 9 kills, 11 digs and 1 block assist.
Bangs (9-7) will be back in action at 6 p.m. Tuesday as the Lady Dragons host Comanche.
