- On Saturday, August 26, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to handle a criminal trespass at CR 551, Brownwood, TX, 76801. Deputy Geis spoke to complainant who said he didn’t want an individual at his aunt’s house due to her causing issues. A criminal trespass warning was served, information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On Sunday, August 27, at 10:20 a.m., Deputies Ricky Herring and Sadie Bradley were dispatched to US 183, May Volunteer Fire Station. This was in reference to a possibly burglary in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined the person(s) were not on scene. It was determined that person(s) had entered unlocked buildings, no items were taken. A person was located moments later, and he admitted to being on their parking lot. The subject was identified, was given a Criminal Trespass Warning for the fire station, and their property.
- On Sunday, August 27, at approximately 3:12 p.m., Deputy Ira Smith was informed of a cruelty to animal case, which occurred in Brown County.
- On Sunday, August 27, at approximately 12:20 p.m., Deputy Saydie Bradley responded to a theft of motor vehicle call at Lindley, May, TX. Deputy Bradley spoke with a victim, who said his motorcycle was stolen. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On Sunday, August 27, Deputy Thomas Beloat was dispatched to a walk-in call. This was in regard to an assault. Deputy Beloat made contact with the victim, information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On Sunday, August 27, at approximately 8:04 p.m., Deputy Thomas Beloat was dispatched to an abandoned vehicle out in the county. Information was gathered, and the vehicle was towed.
- On Monday, August 28, at about 7:05 p.m., Deputy Byron Langley spoke by phone to a victim who stated he had loaned a book to a suspect about a year ago and he refuses to return the book.
- On Tuesday, August 29, at approximately 7:30 a.m. Deputy Francisco Valencia was dispatched to the intersection of CR 243/235 regarding theft. The complainant stated a road barricade and signs were stolen from that location sometime during the night. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On Tuesday, August 29, at approximately 3:04 p.m., Deputy Francisco Valencia was notified of a wanted person. The suspect was a passenger in a vehicle traveling northbound on Hwy 279. Deputy Francisco Valencia observed the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop in the 8700 block of Hwy 279. The suspect exited the vehicle and fled on foot. The suspect was apprehended moments later and placed into custody for evading arrest. A report was made.
- On Tuesday, August 29, at about 3:33 p.m., Deputy Chris Williamson was dispatched to an animal complaint located at Waterford Dr. Brownwood TX. Reports of a dog running at large and acting aggressive towards neighbors. The dog owner was issued a citation for unvaccinated animal and given paperwork for aggressive dog running at large. Information was collected, and a report was made.
