TUSCOLA – In their first meet under new head coach Chelsy Lipsey, the Brownwood Lady Lions varsity cross country team placed fifth at Jim Ned High School’s Warpath Invitational Saturday morning.
The Lady Lions generated 162 points which left them behind Holliday (41), Roby (60), Christoval (96) and Jim Ned (107).
Sidney Windham was the top finisher for the Brownwood girls in ninth place with a time of 12:54.65 followed by Braycee Lee (14th, 13:07.25), Emma Stegemoller (41st, 14:14.61), Kylea Karnes (49th, 14:34.55), Talia Craff (51st, 14:37.46), Haylee Adkins (81st, 15:17.55), Alma Bernal (82nd, 15:18.02), and Kate Tindol (101st,15:49.21).
Boys final results were not yet available as of 4:15 p.m. Saturday.
The next meet for the Lions and Lady Lions will be the Brownwood Invitational Aug. 30 at Gordon Wood Stadium.
