As the Art From Your Attic fundraiser continues at the Brownwood Art Center, Treasurer Cary Perrin wants to thank everyone who donated items, and everyone who has come in to shop. ” We had so many great donations of art and art supplies, and sales have been steady.”
While the Art Center is not accepting any more donations, there is still a good selection of items, and prices have been slashed to 50% off. Perrin says “We have framed and unframed original art, framed and unframed prints, quite a few frames, and some unique jewelry, metal ranch sculptures, and huge aloe vera plants.”
The sale continues through Aug. 25, and everything will be 75% off during the final week, starting August 21. Gallery Guy Daniel Graham adds that now is a good time for dealers to swing by. “We still have some signed pieces by known artists that are likely worth considerably more than we’re asking, especially since the price markdowns.”
The Art Center is at 215 Fisk in downtown Brownwood. Regular gallery hours are 2-6 p.m. weekdays. For more information, call 325-641-2916, or find the Brownwood Art Association on Facebook.
