- On Friday, July 14, Deputy Toby Mathis, along with Deputy Thomas Beloat, responded to a report of an assault not in progress. Deputies arrived and contacted the victim, who said her boyfriend assaulted her at a separate location. Information was gathered for a report.
- On Saturday, July 15, at approximately 8:02 p.m., Deputy Ira Smith contacted a victim by phone, about a stolen license plate. The victim told Deputy Smith the license plate was on the camper when she left Odessa and when she arrived at the state park it was missing. The victim said the only stop she made was at Wal-Mart in Brownwood, where someone removed the plate from the camper.
- On Sunday, July 16, Deputy Thomas Beloat spoke to a victim in regard to theft of property. The victim claimed a suspect stole items from her vehicle. Information was gathered, and a burglary of vehicle report was done.
- On Sunday, July 16, deputies responded to FM 2492 for a 911 hang up. Deputies arrived and met with the caller. The caller and her boyfriend had an argument, which escalated to a physical assault. The parties were separated prior to deputies arriving. Information was gathered, and a report was made for further investigation.
- On Sunday, July 16, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to CR 605, Brownwood, TX 76801. This was in regard to a suspect had been walking onto her property without her permission. Deputy Geis had the complainant sign a Criminal Trespass Warning paperwork to attempt to serve the suspect the paperwork. Deputy Geis was unable to locate the suspect to issue the paperwork.
- On Monday, July 17, 2023, Lt. Pete Bastardo met with a victim at the Brown County Law Enforcement Center. This was in regard to being assaulted. The victim advised this assault had taken place somewhere out on a dirt county road. A suspect was identified. Information was gathered, and a report was generated.
- On Monday July 17, at 11:58 a.m. Sgt Jayson Bastardo was dispatched to 1050 W. Commerce, Brown County Sheriff Office. This was regarding criminal trespassing. Upon arrival, contact was made with a complainant, who lives on Clyde St., that stated someone had entered her residence on two different occasions. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On Monday, July 17, at approximately 2:19 p.m., Deputy Francisco Valencia was dispatched to Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood. This was regarding an animal bite. The complainant stated her brother was bitten by another brother’s dog. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On Tuesday, July 18, at 9:43 a.m., Sgt Jayson Bastardo was dispatched to W US 67. This was regarding criminal mischief. Upon arrival, contact was made with the complainant who stated her vehicle had been damaged. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On Tuesday, July 18, at about 10:40 a.m., Deputy Byron Langley arrived at the Dollar General, located at N US 183 in May, TX. This was in regard to suspicious activity. Deputy Langley was advised by the store manager that the assistant manager found a suspicious letter inside the store.
- On Tuesday, July 18 at about 2:42 p.m., Deputy Byron Langley arrived at CR 325, Blanket, TX. This was in regard to suicide. Deputy Langley spoke to the complainant, who stated he found his wife deceased.
- On Wednesday, July 19, at approximately 12:38 a.m., Sgt. Chris Angel was dispatched to Belfast Drive. This was in reference to a theft. On this date a suspect took a wooden bar stool, valued at $40 from a victim’s residence without her consent. The victim would like to pursue charges on the suspect for the theft. A report was taken, and an investigation is underway.
- On Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at 8:37 p.m., Deputy Ricky Herring was dispatched to Ave E. This was in reference to a domestic disturbance involving an assault victim, and the suspect leaving the scene prior to arrival driving a vehicle intoxicated. Upon my arrival information was gathered, and an Assault Class “A” Family Violence report was taken.
