According to information from the Texas Department of Public Safety, a one-vehicle rollover Saturday, July 8 on FM 1026 two-tenths of a mile west of Gouldbusk in Coleman County resulted in a fatality.
Tyrell Harding, 37, of Gouldbusk, was driving a Polaris RZR (quad-side-by-side ATV) on FM 1026 at a high rate of speed when he steered the vehicle off the roadway traveling in a barrow ditch. The vehicle struck a culvert going airborne and then began to roll, ejecting the driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt. He was pronounced dead at the scene on at 11:48 p.m. Saturday, July 8 by Justice of the Peace Vickie Kemp.
A passenger on the vehicle was wearing a seatbelt and suffered a non-incapacitating injury that required minor treatment.
