According to the Brookesmith Volunteer Fire Department, an expansion onto the existing building is underway.

In a Facebook post Wednesday morning, the following was stated: “The concrete was poured at Brookesmith Volunteer Fire Department this morning. This extension onto building will serve as Community center and Fire meeting hall. We are excited to see the progress!”
