The following fishing reports are provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the week of June 28:
LAKE BROWNWOOD
GOOD. Water clear; 85-90 degrees; 4.85 feet below pool. Happy Fourth of July! Black bass to 8-15 pounds are slow on jigs, topwaters and soft plastic worms in 3-18 feet of water. Crappie are slow in brush piles using jigs in 8-15 feet of water, or with minnows around the docks. White bass are slow to 1.00 pound in the lights using crankbaits, jigs and minnows. Catfish are slow to 5 pounds on jug lines.
LAKE CISCO
GOOD. Water normal stain; 80 degrees; 8.77 feet below pool. Happy Fourth of July! The perch and bass have been active. Crappie are good in 20 feet of water with catches of carp mixed in. Report by Lake Cisco Rentals.
LAKE COLEMAN
SLOW. Slightly stained; 85 degrees; 5.99 feet below pool. Happy Fourth of July! Fishing patterns are similar with the best bites early in the morning, or near sunset. Black bass are good on jigs, crankbaits and spinnerbaits in 2-15 feet of water. Crappie are slow in brush piles on jigs in 8-14 feet of water, and on minnows around the docks. White bass are slow in the lights at night using crankbaits, jigs and minnows. Catfish are good on cut gizzard shad off docks.
LAKE O.H. IVIE
GOOD. Water stained; 85-89 degrees; 25.11 feet below pool. Happy Fourth of July! White bass are good on live bait and plastics. Crappie are good live bait or jigs. Largemouth bass fair. Catfish are fair. Report by Concho Park and Marina.
LAKE PROCTOR
SLOW. Water stained; 82 degrees; 9.16 feet below pool. Happy Fourth of July! Catfish are good on cut bait and cheese bait. White bass are good on slabs and rattletraps.
