Deputy Langley spoke to a victim who stated she had been bitten by a dog while walking from her residence, located at Highway 67-84 in Bangs, to Rippetoe’s Pharmacy.
- On Friday, June 9, at 2:46 p.m., Sgt. Jayson Bastardo was dispatched a call-in regarding theft of a firearm, which could be handled by public service. Contacted was made with a victim who stated he had three firearms stolen from his residence, Clifden Dr. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On Friday, June 9, at approximately 4:42 p.m, Deputy Francisco Valencia was dispatched to handle an incident regarding fraud by phone call. The complainant stated someone used their personal information to file unemployment benefits. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On Saturday, June 10, at about 8:28 a.m., Deputy Byron Langley arrived at Wavin’ Dave’s Portable Buildings and Carports, located at N. 279, Brownwood. This was in regard to criminal mischief. Deputy Langley spoke ta victim who stated someone had damaged a brochure container on his property.
- On Saturday, June 10 at about 11:44 p.m., Deputy Chris Williamson was dispatched to a deceased person, located at N. US 183, Brownwood. The deceased was found in his home by a longtime friend. Information was collected, and a report was made.
- On Sunday, June 11, at 12:11 a.m., Deputy Sgt. Chris Angel and Deputy Chris Williamson were dispatched to a reckless driver, located at N. US 183 and FM 583, May. Upon arrival, a suspect was walking down CR 496. The suspect showed multiple sighs of impairment, due to alcohol, and was placed under arrest for Public Intoxication for his safety and the safety of the public.
- On Sunday, June 11 at about 6:26 p.m., Deputy Chris Williamson was dispatched to a Traffic Hazard located at the intersection of Limerick Dr. and Belfast Dr. The vehicle, along with the trailer, was towed due to the trailer blocking the south bound lane of traffic. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On Monday, June 12, Sgt. Chris Angel was dispatched to Thunderbird Drive. This was in reference to a burglary of a vehicle. Sgt. Angel met with two victims at this location. On Sunday, June 11 between 10:37 p.m. and 10:39 p.m., unknown subjects entered a pickup without consent and took a firearm, a purse, two credit cards, and a driver’s license. A report was taken and an investigation for Burglary of a Vehicle is underway.
- On Monday, June 12, 2023, at 10:20 p.m., Sgt. Andre Smoot responded to a terroristic threat call. This was involving a suspect brandishing a revolver and pointing it to the head of a victim while threatening to shoot her if she didn’t give him his phone. He left prior to the deputies’ arrival but was quickly located. After an investigation, the suspect was placed under arrest for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, which is a 2nd Degree Felony.
- On Tuesday, June 13, Deputy Toby Mathis observed a blue Ford SUV with expired registration. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle. The driver howed to have a non-eligible driver’s license and no insurance for the vehicle. The driver was placed in custody for Driving While License Invalid with No Financial Responsibility. An arrest report was made.
- On Tuesday, June 13, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to handle an ID theft over the phone. Deputy Geis spoke with a victim, who said his name and Social Security Number was used to open an account in Georgia. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On Tuesday, June 13, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to Ponderosa Lodge on Highway North 279. This was in regard to damaged septic tank lids. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On Wednesday, June 14, at about 8:54 a.m., Deputy Byron Langley arrived at Flagship Inn Hotel, located at N. 279 in Brownwood. This was in regard to a stolen vehicle and trailer. Deputy Langley spoke to a victim who stated her pickup and trailer had been taken early this morning.
- On Wednesday, June 14, at approximately 4 p.m., Deputy Francisco Valencia was dispatched to a call in regard to identity theft, and it could be handled by a phone call. The complainant stated someone used her personal information to file for unemployment. Information was gathered and a report was made.
- On Wednesday, June 14, Deputy Chris Williamson was dispatched to an identity theft call, which could be handled by phone call. A complainant stated someone stole her personal information and attempted to use that information to file for unemployment. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On Wednesday, June 14, Sgt. Chris Angel responded to Valley Vista Drive in reference to criminal mischief and theft. Sgt. Angel met with three individuals. Several items in their residence had been damaged and taken without their consent. A report was taken, and an investigation is underway.
- On Thursday, June 15, at about 9:37 p.m., Deputy Chris Williamson was involved in a pursuit involving Early PD. Deputy Williamson deployed a spike strip causing the fleeing vehicle to come to a safe stop, resulting in an arrest of the driver.
