The Lions defeated Roscoe (35-6), Jim Ned (26-13) and San Angelo Lake View (43-14) and will carry a 7-game win streak into the 7-on-7 Division II state tournament in College Station June 22-23.

The Lions won all three games at their Brownwood qualifier last week over Burnet (33-6), Glen Rose (34-12) and Lake View (33-25).

Brownwood also posted a 3-1 record at the Burnet tournament on May 27 to qualify for state for the 23rd year in a row, knocking off Gatesville, 19-13, in the finale.
