Unknown suspect(s) removed the lock from the west gate at 10 Mile low water crossing for the Pecan Bayou crossing. Information was gathered, and a report was made.

- On Thursday, May 25, Deputy Toby Mathis responded to Waco St., for a report of burglary. An individual discovered his storage unit was broken into, with several items missing. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On Thursday, May 25, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to FM 1176. This was in regard to a reckless driver. Deputy Geis located a red pickup, which matched the description the caller provided, parked across the street of FM 1176. Deputy Geis made contact with the driver,, who admitted to drinking prior to driving. An investigation was done to see if the driver was safe to operate a motor vehicle. The driver was placed in custody for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to the Brown County Jail where he was released to jail staff. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On Thursday, May 25, Deputy Toby Mathis assisted with possible intoxicated driver call on FM 1176. While assisting with this call, an unrelated hit and run was reported in the same area. Several yards of fence line was damaged, which belonged to Vulcan. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On Friday, May 26, at about 6:25 a.m., Deputy Chris Williamson was dispatched to a hit and run of a fence located at CR 499, Brownwood. The renters of the property provided what information they had. Photographs were taken, information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On Friday, May 26, at approximately 12:11 p.m., Deputy Saydie Bradley, along with other Brown County Sheriff’s Deputies, attempted a warrant service in the Lake Brownwood Shamrock Shores area. When deputies arrived on scene, the suspect fled from the residence on foot. The suspect was not located and a report for Evading Arrest was made.
- On Saturday, May 27, at about 12:40 a.m.., Deputy Byron Langley arrived at Pency Dr., Brownwood. This was in regard to a domestic disturbance. Deputy Langley spoke to a victim, who stated his wife had assaulted him after a verbal argument.
- On Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 1:36 a.m., Sgt Jayson Bastardo was dispatched a trespassing call, which could be handled by public service. Dispatch advised the caller stated an individual had gone to her residence, in attempt to locate her son, and was banging on the house. Contact was made with the caller who requested a trespass warning be issued to the individual for CR 608. Information was gathered, and a report was taken.
- On Sunday, May 28, Sgt. Chris Angel met with an individual in reference to identity theft. An unknown person used the individual’s name and social security number to apply for unemployment benefits. A report was taken, and an investigation is underway.
- On Sunday, May 28, at about 5:24 p.m., Deputy Byron Langley arrived at Hightop St. in Brownwood. This was in regard to theft. Deputy Langley spoke to a victim, who stated someone had taken his BBQ/smoker without his consent.
- On Monday, May 29, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to handle a civil matter and theft, which occurred at CR 215, Brownwood. The complainant claimed his roommate stole a solid gold band wedding ring, valued at $1,000, a gold ring with a 1/4-inch diamond attached on top, also valued at $1,000 and a pair of AT&T headphones, valued at $250. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On Tuesday, May 30, Deputy Toby Mathis stopped out with a suspicious vehicle. The occupants were identified. A narcotics investigation was conducted, and one of the individuals was placed in custody for Possession of Marijuana. An arrest report was made.
