Hall won the regional championship in Lubbock with a best leap of 45-6.5, while on Thursday Hall cleared 47-6 on his very first attempt. The remainder of Hall’s jumps cleared 46-11.25, 46-7.75, 45-4.75, a scratch and 45-3.5.
El Campo’s Oliver Miles won state with a 50-10 effort followed by Taylor’s Jarvis Anderson with a 49-6, Wimberley’s Gabriel Wray with a 48-4.75, Waco Connally’s Jelani McDonald with a 47-9, and Hall who outdistanced sixth-place Austin Anderson of Needville’s 46-4.25.
