She married the love of her life Lloyd Aaaron Halmon the very next day, May 26, 1955. The celebrated 50 years of marriage before Lloyd preceded her in death in 2005. Yvonne and Lloyd lived in Abilene for a few years early in their marriage before moving back to Santa Anna in 1960. She lived here until moving to Bangs Nursing Home in 2021.
Yvonne spent a lot of time outdoors working as a caretaker at Santa Anna Cemetery with her father, and working in the garden with Lloyd. There was never a time they didn’t have a huge garden and enough veggies to spread around.
