EARLY – The District 6-2A champion and 15th-ranked Early Lady Horns put the finishing touches on a stellar regular season with a 7-0 home victory over the Comanche Maidens Friday.

Next up for the Lady Horns (26-4-2, 13-1) is a bi-district playoff pairing against 7-3A fourth seed Jacksboro (21-11, 6-6). Information on the opening round matchup had not been finalized Friday night.

In the win over Comanche (18-13-1, 8-6), the Lady Horns received a one-hit gem from Teagan Lopez, who struck out eight and walked one over seven innings. The Early defense committed two errors behind her.

At the plate, Early produced 11 hits led by three from Lopez – including a triple – with a pair of RBIs. Marissa Reedy added two hits and one RBI and Trinity Torrez also finished with a pair of singles. Stoney Laughlin and Jordan Simmons each contributed a single and an RBI, while Madison Torrez and Reagan Shults notched hits as well. Grace LaRue drove in a pair of runs with the benefit of a hit.

Early scored two runs each in the third and sixth innings and three in the fourth.
