The 5-4A third seed Brownwood Lions received three superlative honors and 11 players were selected to the all-district team by the league coaches.
Caleb Nelson was tabbed Midfield MVP and was also a first-team selection, Raven Prado was selected Offensive Newcomer of the Year, and Michael Westerman was voted Coach of the Year.
Also landing on the first team for the Lions with Nelson were Noah Barron, Jakson Yoder, and Colton McMillian.
Making the second team were Junior Martinez, Konlyn Anderson, and Cristyn Villarreal.
Honorable mention recipients were Peter Salazar, Aiden Pena, and Wyatt Jackson.
The Lions finished with a 13-12-1 record and an 8-4 mark in Westerman’s second season, earning a second straight bi-district championship.
Academic all-district honorees for the Lions were Martinez, Prado, Pena, Nelson, Salazar, McMillian, Anderson, Yoder, Chris Robinson, Carter Fleet, Isaiah Rodriguez, Caleb Clawson and Hayden Deen.
