HAMILTON – The Hamilton Bulldogs completed a District 7-2A baseball sweep of the Bangs Dragons with a 9-0 victory Friday night.
Bangs (16-6-2, 6-2) was limited to just two hits – singles by Skylar Minshew and Hunter Newton.
Hamilton scored three runs in the first inning, one each in the second and fourth and added its final four runs in the sixth.
Kade Minshew and Kenny Cole combined to yield six earned runs on nine hits with seven strikeouts and seven walks. The Bangs defense committed three errors.
The Dragons host Goldthwaite at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
