Brownwood ISD issued the following press release Monday afternoon:
This month’s spotlight teacher is Brittany Estess. Ms. Estess is a sixth grade teacher at Coggin Elementary. She is a Brownwood High School graduate, a state certified teacher, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry/ Biology from Tarleton State University.
Ms. Estess has been with Brownwood ISD since the 2020-2021 school year. Ms. Estess exemplifies the core values at Coggin Elementary: Dedicated, Dependable, and Disciplined. She has an attitude that is truly contagious! Ms. Estess is consistently looking for ways to improve her craft for the benefit of her students. She empowers students within her classroom to take initiative of their learning and to never stop growing. Her passion for her profession, her students, and their success is easily seen by anyone who knows her. Ms. Estess works hard engaging and supporting students every day and Coggin Elementary is thankful to have her as a part of their family.
We are grateful for devoted teachers like Ms. Estess, who genuinely invest in our students, driving their growth and success in the classroom and beyond.
Our staff spotlight honoree for the month is Veronica Pyle. Ms. Pyle is the campus secretary at East Elementary. She graduated from Lamesa High School, and is currently working towards an education certification. Ms. Pyle worked as substitute teacher for Brownwood ISD during the 2018-2019 school year, and was hired full-time in 2019. Prior to her current role, she worked as a teacher’s aide at Woodland Heights Elementary and East Elementary.
There are not enough good things to say about Ms. Veronica (Ronnie) Pyle to adequately describe what a huge asset she is to the East campus. She has an uncanny ability to anticipate the needs of those around her and she lightens the load by taking the initiative to get things done. In addition to the workload of her position, she also helps students with directions, Pre-K with lunch duty, filling ice packs for scraped knees or bumped heads, and even taking out the office trash to ease the job of the custodians. Ms. Pyle is friendly and inviting to guests of the campus, and helpful and professional with her coworkers. She is willing to do whatever needs to be done with a smile. East staff often joke (but really mean it) that “Ronnie” runs the school. She is the glue that holds East together.
We are blessed to have staff like Ms. Pyle who regularly go above and beyond in their support of our staff and students.
