During the March 2023 session of the Brown County Grand Jury, 25 true bills were returned against 22 people.

Those indicted were:

  • Richard Clay Stanley: Possession of marijuana
  • Charles Austin Shaw: Possession of a controlled substance – state jail felony enhancement
  • Shawn Lee Davison: Possession of a controlled substance
  • Charley Dee Phillips Jr.: Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon – repeat offender X2
  • Kolby Moon: Indecency with a child – sexual contact
  • Evans Fitzgerald Brown: Fraudulent use or possession of identifying information
  • Lawren Mark Riveire: Possession of a controlled substance – state jail felony enhancement
  • Monty Joe Cummings: Possession of a controlled substance – repeat offender
  • Cheyenne Lilyan Wood: Possession of a controlled substance
  • Brianna Alexis Moya: Possession of a controlled substance drug free zone
  • Alejandro Julian Mata: Possession of a controlled substance drug free zone
  • Arnulfo Hernandez: Possession of a controlled substance
  • Dink Colter Benson: Driving while intoxicated with child passenger
  • Hector Gonzales aka Hector Gonzales Jr.: Evading arrest with a prior conviction

The District Attorney’s Office does not release names of Defendants who have been indicted by a Grand Jury but not yet arrested because of an indictment being sealed until the time of arrest. In addition, names of individuals who have no formal charges filed against them and who are no-billed by a Grand Jury will not be released by the District Attorney’s Office at this time.

The District Attorney’s Office does not release names on new indictments until after the Grand Jury proceedings have been processed through the District Clerk and a file marked copy of the Grand Jury Report has returned.
