MILLSAP – The Texas Girls Coaches Association Class 3A No. 12 Early Lady Horns remained undefeated in District 8-3A softball action with a 15-0 road victory over Millsap Tuesday.
The Lady Horns (18-3-2, 5-0) scored four runs in the first inning, eight in the second, and three in the third before the game ended early via run-rule.
Offensively for Early, Reagan Shults tripled, singled and scored a run; Jordan Simmons singled twice, walked, and scored a pair of runs; Grace LaRue singled twice, walked and scored once; Madison Torrez singled twice and crossed the plate once, Marissa Reedy and Stoney Laughlin each singled, walked twice and scored three runs; Teagan Lopez singled, reached on an error and scored; and Aubrey Greaves singled, reached on an error and scored twice.
Lopez pitched the first inning and struck out two of three batters she faced. LaRue worked the second and third frames and struck out a pair with one walk and one hit yielded.
The Lady Horns are back in action at 5 p.m. Friday when they host Breckenridge.
