- On Monday, March 13, at 10:31 a.m. Sgt Jayson Bastardo was dispatched to 1050 W Commerce, Brown County Law Enforcement Center. This was in regard to a walk-in reference to fraud. Upon arrival, contact was made with the complainant who stated he had fraudulent charges made to his debit card on March 3. Information was gathered, and a report was taken.
- On Monday, March 13, at 4:07 p.m. Sgt Jayson Bastardo was dispatched to E. US 377/CR 329 in regard to reckless driving. Dispatch advised a vehicle was chasing another vehicle down the highway. Upon arrival, contact was made with the victim, who stated another vehicle was chasing him from Blanket. The victim stated the other vehicle struck his and the male subject damaged his vehicle. Information was gathered, and a report was taken.
- On Monday, March 13, Deputy Joe Thomas #125 was dispatched to a report of a goat, which had been shot. After further investigation, an information report was made.
- On Monday, March 13, Sgt. Chris Angel was dispatched Sunset Road. This was in reference to illegal dumping of oil. A report was taken, and an investigation is underway.
- On Monday, March 13, at approximately 7:29 p.m., Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to Blanket in reference to a theft report. A complainant advised his neighbor took an antique red Radio Flyer wagon from his yard The complainant advised he saw the wagon on the neighbor’s property. The complainant advised he also wanted a trespass warning issued to the neighbor for his property. Contact was made with the neighbor who stated he thought the wagon was going to be thrown away, as the property was being cleaned up. The neighbor said the wagon had sentimental value since the complainant’s property was originally the family homestead. The wagon was returned to the complainant and the trespass warning was issued to the neighbor. The complainant advised he didn’t want to pursue any criminal charges against the neighbor at this time.
- On Monday, March 13, at approximately 10:32 p.m., Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to Springlake West, Brownwood in reference to the theft of a black Lab puppy. Contact was made with the victims who stated their brand-new puppy had been taken around 8 p.m. this evening. They stated they had just gotten home with the puppy and left him in the fenced yard for about 10 minutes, while they moved some things inside the home. When they went back to the yard the puppy was gone. They searched the area for the next two hours and didn’t locate the puppy.
- On March 14, 2023, Deputy Saydie Bradley spoke with a suspect in regard to the trailer with overflowing trash on the property. The suspect was issued a 30-Day Notice and two written warnings. A report was made.
- On Tuesday, March 14, at 4:07 p.m., Sgt Jayson Bastardo was dispatched to an area around Big G Store in regard to trespassing. The caller advised a truck was parked on private property. Upon arrival to the area, a vehicle was located at Blarney Dr, that belonged to the Housley group, who is a sub-contractor for Frontier. The vehicle damaged property at the residence. The owner the property was identified, and the area manager of the Housley Group was contacted and notified of the incident. The Housley Group had already made contact and arrangements were made to repair the damage. Information was gathered, and a report was taken.
- On Tuesday, March 14, at approximately 6:35 p.m., Deputy Scotty Burke and Deputy Joe Thomas were dispatched to the Brownwood Country Club at CR 225, Brownwood in reference to an assault investigation and report. Contact was made with a victim who stated he had been assaulted by a suspect. The victim stated there had been an argument over roofing work on the building. He said the suspect pushed him in the chest and then hit him in the head and face area. The suspect then left the area and was not located.
