GRAHAM – The Brownwood Lady Lions dropped their final two games at the Graham tournament, falling to Snyder, 7-5, and Henrietta, 4-1.
Against Snyder, the Lady Lions jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first, led 5-3 after one three, saw Snyder drew even in the fourth inning, and witnessed the Lady Tigers score the decisive runs in the sixth.
Brownwood finished with six hits – Chloe Walls with a double, triple and two RBIs; Jeniffer Romero with two singles; Kyleigh Caperton with a single and two RBIs; Mia Lopez with one hit. Tynlea Wilson added an RBI as well.
In the circle, Wilson allowed five runs on nine hits with three strikeouts and on walk. Caperton worked two innings and yielded two runs on three hits.
Against Henrietta, the Lady Lions trailed 1-0 after one inning, 3-0 after two, and cut the deficit to 3-1 in the fourth before allowing the final run in the sixth.
Brownwood was limited to two hits – singles by Wilson and Romero.
In the circle, Wilson gave up four runs – two earned – one nine hits with one strikeout in six innings. The Lady Lion defense committed a pair of errors.
The Lady Lions (6-7) will next visit Gatesville at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
