KBB’s ‘Race Without a Trace’ Earth Day 5K slated for April 22

Ready to race for a great cause? Sign up now for KBB’s “Race Without a Trace” Earth Day 5K at Riverside Park, sponsored by Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood! The Earth Day 5K will be held on Saturday, April 22nd, at Riverside Park in Brownwood.

Participants are encouraged to wear their best hippy costumes! Prizes will be awarded for best costume and also to whomever picks up the most trash during the race!

Entries need to be received before April 1st for a t-shirt. After April 1st, t-shirts may be available, but can’t be guaranteed. Bring the family-fun for all ages and fitness levels!

Registration Fees:

$25.00 ages 18 & Over

$15.00 ages 14-17

Free ages 13 & Under (may not be guaranteed a shirt)

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals for males and females in these age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-30, 30-40, 40-50, 60 and up.

Race Day Schedule:

Registration & packet pick up: 7:00 – 7:45 a.m. at Riverside Park near the pavilion

5K Run starts at 8:00 a.m.

On April 22, 1970, Americans came together in a massive event to call for a healthy, sustainable environment in massive rallies across the US. It was estimated 20 million people, from 10,000 elementary and high schools, 2,000 colleges, and over 1,000 communities participated. Earth Day has been celebrated annually ever since!
