The Brownwood Police Fire Department, Brownwood Police Department and Lifeguard responded at approximately 2:15 p.m. Thursday to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Carnegie and Chandler in downtown Brownwood.

A white Kia SUV struck a white Ford sedan from behind, pushing the sedan into the shrubs in the median that separates the four-lane stretch of road.

The female driver of the Ford sedan was transported via Lifeguard EMS to Hendrick Medical Center-Brownwood with undisclosed injuries.
